不同年龄和身份的人用不同的声调唱《生日快乐歌》 。 由10个视频构成影像装置:每个视频画面为一个唱歌者正面脸部特写:影像时而逐个依次“独唱”, 时而一起“合唱” ， 变成混声 。 最后是源自音像资料的优美 、标准的童声合唱， 而画面中演唱者的口型是与音乐不符的。
People of various age and identity sing“ Happy Birthday” in different tones. The installation consists often videos, each featuring a closeup of one of the singers. Sometimes the installation presents each singer singing a“solo”one by one, and sometimes it is a“chorus,”with all of them in unison.Lastly, the song is sung in a beautiful, standard children's voice from archival material. The mouths of the singers in the video move out of sync to the music.
