两个大小完全相同的可以用来看和被看的相互关联的“房间” :用木板搭建，“房间” 隔墙的两面分别安装监 控摄 像头、视频显示器(14英寸)、感应聚光灯。观众进入“房间”聚光灯便打开;通过监控摄像头和视频 显示器,“房间” 一边的人可以观察另一边“房间”而同时自己也成为被观察者。“房间”两头的门有特殊门锁, 关上后在没有人从外面进人的情况下要过1分钟才能被打开。视频内容即为观众在“房间”里通过显示器看到的另一“房间”里的影像。
Two“ rooms”of identical size linked together for seeing and being seen: built out of wood, the "rooms” have a divider between them that is installed with surveillance cameras, 14-inch monitors, and motion-sensing lights. When the viewer enters the“ room,”the lights are lit. Through the surveillance cameras and screens, the people in one“ room”can observe the people in the other“ room,”who can watch them in turn. The“ rooms”are equipped with special locks. Unless the door is opened from the outside,the lock will remain shut for one minute. The content on the monitor is video filmed from the other“ room.”
