张培力，1957年生于杭州，1978年到1980年在浙江省人防工人建筑队做工人，1984年本科毕业于浙江美术学院(现中国美术学院)油画系，获学士学位，1984年至2000年先后任教于杭州工艺美术学校和杭州师范大学美术学院，2001年调入中国美术学院，2003年在中国美术学院创立新媒体系，2012年至2022年任OCAT上海馆执行馆长，现工作，生活于杭州。
张培力于1985、1986年组织并参与了“85新空间”展览及艺术家团体“池社”。《30×30》(1988)被认为是中国最早的录像艺术作品。

Zhang Peili was born in Hangzhou in 1957, worked as a laborer in the construction team of Zhejiang Province's Human Defense Workers from 1978 to 1980, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Zhejiang Academy of Arts (now China Academy of Art) with a Bachelor's Degree in 1984, taught at the Hangzhou School of Arts and Crafts and the Academy of Fine Arts of Hangzhou Teacher's University from 1984 to 2000, transferred to the China Academy of Art in 2001, founded the New Media Department at the China Academy of Art in 2003, and was the Executive Director of OCAT Shanghai from 2012 to 2022. In 2001, he transferred to China Academy of Art, and in 2003, he founded the New Media Department at the China Academy of Art. From 2012 to 2022, he will be the Executive Director of the OCAT Shanghai Pavilion, and now he lives and works in Hangzhou.
In 1985 and 1986, Zhang Peili organized and participated in the exhibition “85 New Space” and the artist group “Ikisha”. 30×30 (1988) is considered the earliest video artwork in China.

1957 出生，祖籍浙江温岭，排行第四，父亲在医学院教授正常人体解剖，母亲为妇产科医院助产士。祖父张翰庭，当地乡绅，因在1948年震惊中外的吴淞口“江亚轮”海难事件中奋力救起400余人而著名，1950年蒙冤而死；反右；

1982 “韩墨藏画：五百件名作原件展览”在北京、上海举办；

1984 毕业于浙江美术学院（今中国美术学院）油画系；在杭州工艺美术学校任教；在中国美术家协会浙江分会临时工作，组织青年艺术创作活动；“第六届全国美展”；

1985 组织创立“青年创作社”；组织参与“85新空间展”；创作《仲夏的泳者》、《休止音符》等作品；“罗伯特·劳森伯作品展”在北京中国美术馆举办；

2000 创作《同时播出》等作品，开始运用影像现成品；参加第3届上海双年展；杭州工艺美校撤销，并入杭州师范学院（现杭州师范大学）；

2001 创作《台词》等作品；由杭州师范学院借调到中国美术学院，建“新媒体艺术中心”，任主任；

2002 调入中国美术学院，负责筹建“新媒体系”；创作《遗言》等作品；招收研究生；

2003 参加第50届威尼斯双年展；中国美术学院新媒体系正式建系，任主任；

2004 创作《向前、向前》等作品；参加第5届上海双年展；开始新媒体系本科教学；

2005 创作感应录像装置作品《最低像素》

2006 在北京举办首次国内个展“短语”；

1957 Born in Wenling, Zhejiang Province, fourth in line, his father taught normal human anatomy at the Medical College and his mother was a midwife at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. His grandfather, Zhang Hanting, was a local squire who was famous for his efforts to save more than 400 people in the 1948 Wusongkou “Jiangya” shipwreck, but died in 1950 in a wrongful death; anti-rightist;
