2024年6月15日为池社在上海西岸的最后时间，艺术家张培力以这一时间为材料呈现其最新作品——“最后期限”。作品运行时间为6月12日-6月14日，6月15日为展览开幕日，与碰撞相关的装置将会被启动，并在当晚结束后被拆除。
艺术家延续了其以往作品中优雅的暴力美学态度，将碰撞悬置在即将拆除的展厅内，等待其“最后期限”的来临。艺术家将此作品比作空间拆除前的一个“仪式”，在此即将发生的强烈碰撞似乎已经预示了这件作品和这栋建筑相同的命运——最终的消失。消失在现实之中，亦消失在记忆之中。
June 15, 2024 marks the final day of Chishe's presence on the west bank of Shanghai. Artist Zhang Peili takes this moment as inspiration for his latest artwork, titled "Deadline." The installation will be exhibited from June 12th to June 14th, with the opening day coinciding with June 15th. The installation, centered around collisions, will be activated and subsequently dismantled at the end of the evening.
Continuing his exploration of the elegant aesthetics of violence in his previous works, the artist suspends the collision within the soon-to-be-demolished exhibition hall, awaiting its "deadline." He likens this piece to a ritual before the space's demolition, where the imminent intense collision seems to foreshadow the same fate shared by the artwork and the building itself - ultimate disappearance. Disappearing not only from reality but also from memory.
